SZC Hydro Treated Ammonia (R717) oil
SZC® RS-HT oil is a highly refined, Hydrotreated ammonia compressor lubricant, specially designed to function under the stringent requirements of closed-loop ammonia refrigeration systems. It provides value-added benefits in the areas of improved system efficiency and higher productivity.
RS-HT Hydrotreated mineral oil takes on the characteristics of Synthetic oil. It is extremely refined to a 99.9% pure base oil. Hydrotreating or Hydrocracking is a process whereby hydrogen is added which alters the molecules and removes impurities and wax resulting in cleaner and more effective lubrication. RS-HT additives enhance system performance, while protecting the equipment from corrosion, oxidation and anti-foaming.

RS-HT oil is compatible with naphthenic and other hydro treated paraffinic-based compressor oils for ammonia service, as well as PAO and alkyl benzene-based products.
Material Compatibility
RS-HT68 oil is compatible with all seal elastomers commonly used in Ammonia systems including Buna-N, NBR and Neoprene seals & O-rings.
